Bai'ah Rehearsal is shorter than before

Bai'ah is an oath or pledge that students will have to declare during the orientation. In other university, its like Akujanji. Its the tradition of Taaruf Week in IIUM, both in branch and main campus. This time, students don't have to do rehearsal many times. Its enough just to make it on the day before. Besides that, the Bai'ah script also was shortened. I knew it because I'm the one who doing the multimedia backdrop for the Bai'ah too!

IIUM Campus Tour

Most of the multimedia committee were quite busy in preparing the KYKM videos. Since they have the campus tour slots, I've suggested to screen my old IIUM Virtual Tour video. It was created two years ago for Taaruf July 2006/2007 Intake but it still reliable isn't it? If I have the time, I want to make a better video that shows the Mahallah and other facilities such as stadium etc.

Rules are meant to be broken?

I was the emcee for the Legal SDEC and Security Session. For me, this is the best session because students can know and understand what misbehave that they should have known when studying in IIUM. I also enjoy the pictures in the slides. But I think its better if Legal Unit can include about disciplinary actions that was taken for cases like clubbing.

IIUM Campus Wireless System

During ITD Briefing, the officer main talk about the function of ITD in IIUM and also the implementation of wireless network in the campus. I'm quite agree with one of the sister who asked them about those who don't use laptops. However, I think in the near future, students will be carrying laptop or nettop just like we carry our handphones. Who needs PC anyway.

Sleeping Beauties during Taaruf

After doing Qiyamullail, most of the students are quite sleepy on the morning session. Here are some of the shots that was taken both in Main Auditorium and Experimental Hall.

Qiyamullail at SHAS Mosque IIUM

Qiyamullail activity was conducted at SHAS Mosque. After the last night session, all students sleep at the mosque. About 4am, DnI and other committees wake up the students.
